The 2nd O4C Hackathon in Denmark, 2017:
Hack the Outdoors. Data-driven tourism in North Denmark
During 2017 the Danish team zoomed in on ‘smartening up’ the arena of outdoor tourism with data. On November 3-4th, we hosted “Hack the Outdoors – bringing data-driven tourism to North Denmark”
In collaboration between Service Systems Designers from Aalborg university, the innovation network InfinIT, Business Region North Denmark and Aalborg Open Data Lab – we are kickstarting the innovative open data efforts of the region.
We invited all surfers, software developers, storytellers, artists, activists, entrepreneurs, gamers, cultural heritage enthusiasts, designers, fishermen, journalists, data scientists, biologists, business folk, tourists & curious citizens: To disrupt, inspire and ‘smarten up’ the status quo of outdoor tourism in North Denmark.
